Weed Cellars has added a lager to its portfolio of namesake drinks. The US company claims to be the first to tap into the "evolution of the cannabis space" with products that contain no trace of the drug.
The lager joins a portfolio of Weed Cellars wines comprising Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc/Viognier and Pinot Noir. None of the products contains cannabis.
Weed Cellars said its wine and beer pay homage to the individual in all of us.
"Without a doubt, this is a fun brand," said managing partner Jim Moeller. "Who doesn't want to say 'I brought Weed,' when they enter a room?
"This is a unique lifestyle brand that has cracked the code of bringing Weed culture to every state in America and across the world. We released the brand two months ago, and we're already scheduled to cover the entire country by the end of the year."
Earlier this month, the UK advertising watchdog reprimanded Halewood Wines & Spirits, the maker of alcoholic CBD spirit Dead Man's Fingers Hemp Rum, for social media posts that contained drugs slang.
