4 Cozy Bourbon Cocktail Recipes for Fall


Fall is almost here. We can think of no better way to stay warm than to enjoy fall libations. So grab a blanket, roast some mixed nuts in the oven, and give one of our four delicious concoctions a try!

Weed for Breakfast

FAQ: Coffee cocktails became a popular staple at U.S. airports in the 1940s and 1950s, as tired passengers looked for beverages to refuel them.

1 cup freshly-brewed coffee
1 splash of almond extract
0.25 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1.25 oz Weed Bourbon

Pour the bourbon into a large mug and stir in a teaspoon of brown sugar. Mix in the hot coffee and almond extract. Take a spoon and turn it upside down. Hold the spoon above the mug and pour the cream slowly over it, moving the spoon in a circular motion to float the cream on your Breakfast Bourbon.
Tip: For your cream to stay longer on the surface of your coffee, whip your cream. Chill your heavy cream in the freezer for 20 minutes before whisking the cream for one minute, until fluffy peaks begin to form.

Weed Smoke Fashioned

FAQ: The Old Fashioned was relatively obscure in the 2000s, but the show, “Mad Men,” set in 1960s New York, brought the concoction back into the limelight.

0.5 oz of Demerara syrup
2 dashes tobacco bitters
1 dash Angostura orange liqueur
1 maraschino cherry
2 oz Weed Bourbon
1 orange peel
1 large ice cube

Pour the Demerara syrup into a rocks glass and mix in smoky tobacco bitters and orange liqueur. Add in your ice cube before topping your glass with Weed Bourbon and a maraschino cherry. Garnish with an orange peel.
Tip: Are standard maraschino cherries too syrupy-sweet for you? For a more luxurious experience, swap them out for Luxardo maraschino cherries, which retain more of the tart taste and purple-ruby color of raw cherries.

Weed Hard Cider

FAQ: When English colonists first landed in America, they planted cider apple orchards and apples soon became a staple in American homes. Cider was the most widely drunk beverage, and in certain areas, wages were paid for in the form of cider.

2.5 oz hard cider
1 oz Weed Bourbon
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1 cinnamon stick
Apple slices
Ice cubes

Pour hard cider, bourbon, ice cubes and maple syrup into a shaker. Stir the mixture for 2 minutes to allow the ingredients to integrate with each other. Transfer it into a rocks glass with ice and garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick
Tip: For spicier flavors, add a dash of ginger powder, a dash of cinnamon powder, and two cloves into the shaker.


Weed Limoncello Sour

FAQ: Sours have been popular for centuries. In the 18th century, sailors drank them to fight off scurvy and malnutrition.

0.5 oz lemon juice
0.75 oz Limoncello
2 oz Weed Bourbon
1 orange half- wheel
Ice cubes

Place the lemon juice, Limoncello, and bourbon in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a glass over ice and garnish with an orange half-wheel.
Tip: Instead of using pre-bottled lemon juice, squeeze real lemons. The strength of real lemon juice matches the strength of Weed Bourbon.
